What would you say are the hard to collect signed space shuttle crew photos? My choices are in the parenthesis.
  • STS 50-60
  • STS 60-70 (60)
  • STS 71-80 (71)
  • STS 81-90 (84)
  • STS 91-100 (96)
  • STS 101- 110 (107)
  • STS 111-121 (114)
  • ISS 1-14 (1)
Let's here yours, plus your reason. I hope to learn from you guys!

I'd choose the following from those groups.
  • STS 61 - 70 (STS 67)
  • STS 71 - 80 (STS-71)
  • STS 81 - 90 (STS-84)
  • STS 91 -100 (STS-99)
  • STS 101-110 (STS-107)
From them all, I don't know which one would be the more elusive.... either STS-71 or STS-107 I'd imagine.

I think any crew which flew a cosmonaut or international astronaut (ESA) would be hard to find as well as any flight which flew payload specialists.

My personal choices:
  • STS 50-60 (STS-54); though only five crew members, two are notorious for not signing through the mail
  • STS 61-70 (STS-61); again several tough through the mail signatures
  • STS 71-80 (STS-75) though STS-71 is probably the hardest to complete, STS-75 with three international members deserves a runner-up
  • STS 81-90 (STS-89); Edwards, Wolf and Thomas are all iffy through the mail
  • STS 91-100 (STS-100); with a Canadian, Italian and Russian crewmember, one of these going through the mail would travel as much as the mission did.
  • STS 101-110; though STS-107 is the obvious choice, I think the 10 person shots from STS-102, 105 and 108 would all be very difficult to complete.

For what it's worth, I started with a Sergei Krikalev and Jan Davis signed STS-60 crew photo and was able to add the others, finally completed it with Ron Sega in-person autograph.

I started an STS-71 crew photo with Hoot Gibson and the four cosmonauts. Greg Harbaugh doesn't sign, but I almost have it complete - thought I'd get Ellen Baker recently (and I've met her without bringing the photo, duh!) but she remains the last one I need (again, except for Harbaugh).

All times are CT (US)
