I have recently received a signed photo of Wendy Lawrence. I really appreciated the time she took to send it and I will be writing a thank you letter.

It still makes my day when an astronaut or cosmonaut takes the time to reply to my letters.

She is booked to be the Astronaut Encounter guest through June 20. If a repeat visit is not possible, perhaps you can ship it to the visitor center's gift shop to have signed and returned.

She will also be signing autographs at the Evolution Expo in Oakland, Calif. at the end of the month. You could try contacting the expo for assistance, too.

For a different reason I got in touch with the Expo and (finally...) got a response. Even though the event is a week away, they don't think there is time to send my item to the hotel and make sure that it is received with all that is going on.

Lawrence is doing other events, a casual look around the Internet reveals. Sometimes a smaller venue may be more receptive.
