Does anyone know anything about eBay seller beatlesfanattik? He had some really cool autographs up in the last week and said in his ads that he was selling his lifetime collection, but his feedback is 0, all his autions and their bids have one by one been cancelled by him, and he did not get back to me when I asked him a question about the condition of one of his items. Most all of them looked good to me and the images were apparently all taken by the same person with a digital camera. Was he just using eBay to appraise everything? Anyone else try to contact him? Here is a link to all his auctions (past and present): http://cgi6.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?MfcISAPICommand=ViewListedItems&userid=beatlesfanattik&include=0&since=32&sort=3&rows=0 Scott [This message has been edited by Scott (edited July 17, 2003).] |

Scott,The fact that no one has bid on any of the items listed tells you something! I wouldn't touch this guys stuff with a ten foot pole. A signed Albert Einstein letter starting bid $1.00 ... give me a brake (and no one bid)!! Best Dan |

They all had bids until the day before they were to end, some selling for hundreds, a couple for over a thousand, then he cancelled all the bids and ended the auctions. |

OOOOOHHH? "They all had bids until the day before they were to end, some selling for hundreds, a couple for over a thousand, then he cancelled all the bids and ended the auctions." Wow! I am surprised! Which autographs had bids over $1K? ... the only one worth that was A. Einstein's .... Best, Dan |

Babe Ruth's. Ironically the Einstein I'm pretty sure was pre-printed and one of the only unauthentic ones he had up. Scott |

Hi Scott, When someone posts an Einstein or Babe Ruth with a starting bid of $1 and no reserve I would say something smells fishy! Best, Dan |

The Babe Ruth is real. It is one of his personal checks signed by him "GH Ruth". But like I said he cancelled all the bids and auctions before they were scheduled to end, so I think he was just using it to appraise his collection. Pretty dumb idea, as anyone who has used eBay for any length of time knows that usually bids on desirable items increase a lot just before the auctions end. |
