Hi im new here, let me introduce myself. I am kevin, Im 18, and Im from michigan. Up until the last year or so, I collected autographs. Mostly by mail. I got several, although im not sure who's authentic...I have a pretty good idea of which ones are by reading various sites. Here is my question: What upcoming autograph shows are there? particularly (but not limited too) the north east? (michigan-south, about as far west as St. Louis) ...Me and my best friend recently decided to take a vacation and this was one of the ideas we had. The Bigger the better ofcourse (show wise) ...I know theres an annual (or semi annual or Bi-annual or something like that) show in Chicago, correct? when is that? Im sorry if there is already a topic on this, if it is answered, that would be great, if its closed or an appropriate action is taken because of replication, thats fine too. But I would really like some asistance. Thank you, and I hope to be a member here for a long time. |

This site: http://www.geocities.com/Hollywood/Hills/8944/ lists sports, space and others - including a Chigago-area sports link at the bottom. |

Concerning non-sports autographs, they used to have autograph shows all the time a decade or so ago. These shows were great to go to because I could see all sorts of stuff (Lincoln, Robert E. Lee, Thomas Jefferson signed documents, etc.) that I could not afford and not otherwise see in-person. But they seldom have them now, at least in Houston. According to a friend, Shirley Herbert of Historical Collections, this is due to the prevalence of the internet. Almost all buying and selling is done online now. Scott | |
