This Facebook posting has the below photo of three F-1 engines in a field in Copley, Ohio. They appear to be some level of boilerplate or mockup engines.

I found photos and references to mockups, but they are much higher fidelity. Does anyone have any information about these?

Copley is where Thomarios' plant and operational facility is located. Thomarios conducted the restoration of the Saturn V at Kennedy Space Center.

Thomarios also restored the World's Fair space exhibits displayed today at the New York Hall of Science. Among those is an F-1 engine, but the original exhibits included a mockup of an S-IC. These are the remnants from that 1964 display.

Thanks, Robert! I never would have guessed that origin.

The 1962 Seattle World's Fair also had a Saturn first stage thrust structure representation, an early design of the Saturn I.

All times are CT (US)
