A great surprise on the road to White Sands! I found Francis French's post from 2010, and I too was floored at Space Murals Museum, this sizable "homegrown" private collection. It's just north of Las Cruces, New Mexico, on US Hwy 70.

Many Apollo and Shuttle-era artifacts, lots of historic photos and NASA pubs, models, and a nice gift shop. However, it truly seems hidden, as I spent a couple of hours chatting with the newly-hired part time store-runner, and we didn't get one walk-in. The owner's family is looking for some expertise on inventory, curation, values and the like, so of course I referred them to cS!
