STS-61A payload specialist Wubbo Ockels took this photo of the "egg of Columbus," floating upright in zero gravity. The fun experiment implied a link to the future of manned spaceflight, with the Columbus laboratory being one of the major European contributions to the International Space Station then being designed. (Thanks to Eddy Ruytings for the idea.)

Of course the golden "mirror" reflection off the egg is very cool — almost like a fish-eye lens picture.
