The Skylab 1 space station is rolled out from High Bay 2 of the Vehicle Assembly Building on April 16, 1973. This is on the side of the VAB facing away from Launch Complex 39. |

Great pic Ed, don’t think I’ve seen that one before. You can kind of see why they lost a solar wing on ascent, the covers don’t exactly look aerodynamic from above! |

This is a great view. I am currently listening to "Homesteading Space" again. This reminds me how cool Skylab was and how much scientific information was gained in those three missions. |

What is the square yellow object at ground level outside High Bay 4? It looks like a platform of some sort. |

I believe it was used to cover the exhaust hole in the mobile launcher. |
