Half a century ago this week, Apollo 7 lifted off from Cape Kennedy's launch pad 34 at 11:03 a.m. EDT on October 11, 1968. During an 11-day mission, astronauts Wally Schirra, Donn Eisele and Walt Cunningham would qualify the spacecraft that would take astronauts to the moon two months later. |

Keeping pace with events half a century ago, there is only one more opportunity for an Apollo 7 photo. Well, maybe two. |
