The Apollo 7 spacecraft (CSM-101 and SLA-5) arrives at Cape Kennedy's Launch Complex 34 in the early morning hours of August 8, 1968. Later that day it was mated to the Saturn 1B launch vehicle (AS-205) to continue preparations for the first manned Apollo mission, scheduled for October.

I was a kid in 1968 and followed Apollo 7. Yes I was and still am, a space geek. Thanks for bringing back that enthusiasm.
