Apollo 13 commander Jim Lovell (right) and lunar module pilot Fred Haise sit in Mission Control in Houston as they monitor the flight of Apollo 12 on November 18, 1969.

What do you think they've placed the binder on? Is that a briefcase or is it a piece of communication equipment (given their headsets)?

There is a similar view of Lovell and Haise (and Al Worden next to Haise) at the MCC console in "Apollo 12: Pinpoint for Science" at the 5:54 mark.
