A photo of the week on 16 April 2016 can only be an Apollo 16 photo! Lunar module pilot Charlie Duke prepares for a nice day, 44 years ago. |

Perhaps his pensive look having seen the smiley behind him means he is thinking, "Oh, I do hope so!" |

It never ceases to amaze me how you can come up with such fantastic photos! I wish I had a photo collection like yours. |

My photo files are the result of 50 years of collecting. There are new additions almost every day. Of course I get a lot of help from my friends... |

Great photo and I like the photos of the Apollo 16 astronauts near the smiley face...One should believe that the "smiley" was a product of the 1970s, however the first yellow faces appeared in 1948! Interesting to check out which logos, other than the mission logo, were put on the walls during suiting up: - Apollo 7: none?
- Apollo 8: none?
- Apollo 9: none?
- Apollo 10: Snoopy All systems are go!
- Apollo 11: none?
- Apollo 12: none?
- Apollo 13: none?
- Apollo 14: none?
- Apollo 15: none?
- Apollo 16: Smiley face... Have a nice day!
- Apollo 17: ...Only a Beginning

Both Apollo 17 launch day photos KSC-72P-545 and 72-H-1516 show partially hidden signs that may be mission-related. |

Ed checked this out and the Apollo 10 sign was put up during the training, not during actual launch day... |
