Pinky is having a great time too in 1984. First untethered space walk; Svetlana Savitskaya, first woman to walk in space on July 25, on Oct. 11 Kathryn Sullivan followed in her footsteps. Additionally, the AIDS virus officially recognized, we were "Born in the USA" and my favorite "99 Red (Luft) Balloons" captured our hearts and souls. |

Also, "Ghostbusters" came out in 1984. I DARE you to look at the trailer for the upcoming re-boot and tell me we're moving forward as a society. /get off my lawn |

Now I know I'm getting old when these guys looked middle aged to me as a kid, but look really young to me now in this picture. |
