This is what STS-41C mission specialist Ox Van Hoften saw during his spacewalk together with Pinky Nelson to repair the Solar Max Satellite on April 10, 1984. The view is looking back at Challenger's cockpit across the empty payload bay, previously occupied by the Long Duration Exposure Facility until it was released three days earlier.

Great picture - Thanks as always Ed,
I have a nice glossy 8x10 Kodak taken of Ox in the MMU floating arond the cargo bay. The colours are spectacular in that picture. If I ever get the chance, thats the picture I would ask him to sign.
Keep them coming Ed - I always look forward to the photos. Almost always ones I have never seen before.

I have just obtained hundreds of new shuttle photos that have never been published before, so keep your eyes on this page.
