A gathering of support crewmembers for the joint US/Soviet Apollo-Soyuz mission in Houston in April 1975, forty years ago this month. In front are Yuri Romanenko, Dick Truly and Bob Crippen. Behind them are Alexander Ivanchenkov and Bo Bobko.

...and who, disguised as Dick Truly,
Mild-mannered astronaut for a great national space agency,
supports a never-ending mission for TRUTH, JUSTICE and the AMERICAN WAY!

Besides those pictured here, Bob Overmyer was another U.S. ASTP support crewman. The backup crew consisted of Alan Bean, Ron Evans, and Jack Lousma.

The Russian cosmonauts, on the other hand, had assigned four 2-man crews for their participation in the Apollo-Soyuz Test Project.

Don't all of them have that shirt on underneath their crew clothing?

Looks like a Snoopy Apollo-Soyuz Space Teams decal alongside the ASTP program decal over an open Apollo Command Module hatch.

Nice cutaway of the ASTP docking unit behind them. Alright, who left their coffee cup above the CM hatch?
