Fifty years ago, the Gemini 4 spacecraft was entering the 14-foot altitude chamber at McDonnell before a simulated high-altitude flight. Gemini 3 was only a week away from launch and preparations for the next flight were already in full swing. |

Gemini 3 was Gus Grissom and John Young. Gemini 4 was Jim McDivitt and Ed White. |

Thanks! I guess I meant the crew for the high-altitude simulation, if it was crewed. |

For Gemini IV, the spacecraft's altitude chamber test runs were conducted at McDonnell between March 20-25, 1965.The first was an unmanned test of the capsule vehicle. The second, with the prime crew aboard (McDivitt and White), flew a simulated mission. The third test run repeated the 2nd, but with the backup crew of Borman and Lovell aboard. During the fourth run, it put the prime crew through a flight at simulated altitude. The final (fifth) test was the same as the fourth, but with the backup crew again. |
