A mating photo seemed an appropriate choice for Valentine's Day. Fifty years ago this week the Gemini 3 spacecraft was attached to the Titan II launch vehicle on launch pad 19 at Cape Kennedy. Astronauts Grissom and Young had been in training for the flight since early 1964.

Since the Dolphin Club officially doesn't exist this kind of 'mating' is all we're likely to see.

Notice that there are no strips on the adapter. These were put on just a few days before launch (tape).
