This photograph, taken by NASA astronaut Jerry Linenger, shows Mir 23 commander Vasili Tsibliyev during a five-hour spacewalk performed by the two outside the Russian Mir Space Station on April 29, 1997. Tsibliyev works at the end of the Strehla pole backdropped by the Base Block and Kvant-1 module.
