Forty years ago, the Apollo 12 astronauts had been released from their post-flight quarantine and could enjoy the sights and sounds of earth again. Seen here leaving the Lunar Receiving Laboratory are Al Bean, Dick Gordon and Pete Conrad.

I'm trying to imagine what it would have been like to be quarantined with those three guys in a confined area for a couple of weeks.

Is that a cigar in Pete Conrad's left hand? Do they allow smoking in public buldings? Oh I forgot this photo was taken 40 years ago.
