Forty years ago today, the Mobile Quarantine Facility carrying the Apollo 12 crew arrived in Hawaii enroute to the Lunar Receiving Laboratory in Houston. This was the scene that greeted the crew as the MQF was being offloaded from the recovery ship USS Hornet.

I am glad that the US Space & Rocket Center in Huntsville, Alabama has found, recovered, restored and has put it on display for all to enjoy! I had the privilege this past February to be present for the opening of the exhibit ceremony with Alan Bean and Richard Gordon present plus several other astronauts. The trailer is a unique item that is now on display in the Davidson Center beneath their Saturn V.

Whew! I'm glad that BMacKinnnon clarified that it was the trailer on display at USSRC and not the Hula dancer!
