Forty years ago today, moonwalkers Pete Conrad and Al Bean were briefed on the geology of the Apollo 12 landing site by fellow-astronaut Jack Schmitt. At left is another astronaut, CapCom Ed Gibson. Looks like they must have been in the simulator before this, Bean is wearing an inflight coverall. |
