Forty years ago today, the Mobile Quarantine Facility housing the Apollo 11 astronauts Armstrong, Collins and Aldrin was off-loaded from the USS Hornet at Pearl Harbor, Hawaii. After a brief welcoming ceremony, the quarantine trailer was trucked to Hickam Field AFB, where it was loaded on a jet transport and flown to Houston.
