Forty years ago today, the Apollo 11 crew held their last scheduled news conference from the crew quarters at KSC. Due to the semi-quarantine established for launch, they answered questions via closed-circuit television. Note chief-astronaut Deke Slayton sitting at left, below a row of portrait photos of the astronaut corps.
