The U.S. Air Force Thunderbird F-16 jets fly in formation past the Vehicle Assembly Building at the Kennedy Space Center on May 7 of this year. The purpose of the flyover was to promote the World Space Expo, which will be held at KSC from November 3 to 11, featuring an aerial salute by the Thunderbirds on its opening weekend. Ed Hengeveld |

It's a great photo - such a clear view across the complex. It's always hard to get a sense of scale for the VAB, but there's at least a hint of it here! |

Great photo! I have a personal interest in this one. My cousins son is the commander of one of the KC-135s that refueled them on the way to KSC!Randy |

Yes, this is a great photo! With Civil Air Patrol, I had the priveledge of working with these guys during their show at McGuire AFB a few weeks ago, and then out here at Republic two weeks later for the Jones Beach show. Great bunch of guys (and girls). They really made me feel like part of the crew while working with them. ------------------ Mike
