The first Skylab crew Pete Conrad, Joe Kerwin and Paul Weitz meet with President Richard Nixon and visiting Soviet leader Leonid Breznev during ceremonies at the Western White House in San Clemente, California, on June 24, 1973. The two leaders were presented with plaques by the crew, who had just completed their record-breaking flight aboard America's first space station. Ed Hengeveld |
