In July 1964 astronauts Frank Borman (left) and Elliot See demonstrate prototype thermal over-garments designed to protect men on the moon from the direct rays of the sun. Note the small LEM-model to create the illusion they are actually on the moon!

Never knew there were pics of astro's wearing this type of stuff !

I have a block 1 training manual which shows early clothing and this looks very similar to the thermal covering in the diagrams.

This is a great shot, nice to see Elliot See on a "moonwalk" - a "what could have been" moment.

Of course, his name did make it to the lunar surface on Apollo 15:

Oh yes ... I agree. The scenery, rocks, lighting and LM are absolutely faultless, but they slipped up, as Elliot See was no longer around. They can't fool us experts!
