The STS-26 crewmembers are in a good mood as they try out the new launch & entry suits, that were introduced after the Challenger accident. The early versions were blue, but that was later changed to orange to increase visibility in case the astronauts had to eject from the Shuttle and landed in the water. Left to right are Rick Hauck, Pinky Nelson, Dave Hilmers, Mike Lounge and Dick Covey.

Great job Ed, keep it up.

I have a few more shots of the crew during training wearing the blue suits on an old page on my site.

Your site is very impressive, too. I took a few photos for my personal data files.
