This photo of the week is in honor of Story Musgrave's 70th birthday. Did he really make six spaceflights, or was it just one flight by six identical Musgraves?

This is the STS-44 crew leaving the O&C Building at KSC to participate in the terminal countdown demonstration test on November 1, 1991.

He doesn't look 70 for the simple reason he was 56, in 1991.

I know...but even now he doesn't look 70. At least I don't think he looks it.

Ed- very funny-hope Story likes it?
You cannot fool me-----cause - I know which one is Story- yes- I really do-
And he does look very young for his age.
With a lovely shiney head to go with his great personality.
Thanks so much- what a great day-
regards from Brenda.

Very funny indeed! A group of us were at the VIP site for the STS-44 night launch...simply the most incredible sight I have ever seen in my life. I happen to have one of my ISP's of the 44 crew on ebay right now...have a look...

I have a copy of that photo somewhere and one of the crew signed "Six-Story Shuttle" on it... I liked that!
