In the accompanying photo, recovery lead Dr. Don Stullken stands at the boarding ladder, and across is quarantine lead John Stonesifer in the suit. (Also, commander Don Jones is standing on his helo.)

But who is holding open the Mobile Quarantine Facility-3 (MQF-3) door and who is the gentlemen in the yellow shirt, partially obscured by Armstrong, that sprayed disinfectant afterward? Photo captions seem to be silent on this pair.

The person in charge of the disinfectant sprayer would have been Harold Eitzen, Quarantine Protocol Officer. The person holding the MQF door is Dr. Clarence Jernigan, flight surgeon. NASA S-69-40753 is another view of the event.

All times are CT (US)
