Im fairly certain the oldest was Vance Brand on STS-35 (he was 59) but who was the youngest person to command a space shuttle?

I'm thinking Hoot Gibson. (Age 39 when he commanded STS-61C).

Indeed, from Bowersox's Wikipedia page:
When he launched on STS-73 at the age of 38 years and 11 months, he became the youngest person ever to command a Space Shuttle vehicle.
