Which astronauts and crews spoke to a joint session of Congress after their flights? The ones I know of are:
  • John Glenn
  • Gordon Cooper
  • Apollo 11 crew
Any others?

The other two were the Gemini 5 and Apollo 8 crews. However, in all six cases, the astronauts spoke to a joint meeting of Congress, not a joint session.

It is interesting that the Apollo 13 crew and the appropriate ground personnel were not called before a joint meeting. What a celebration of American ingenuity that should have been.

What's the difference between a joint "meeting" and "session"?

Check this page from the history section of the US House of Representatives' website if you are interested in the difference between joint sessions and joint meetings.

Also the Apollo 17 crew as seen in photo 73-H-87 dated January 22, 1973.
