Which astronauts and crews spoke to a joint session of Congress after their flights? The ones I know of are: - John Glenn
- Gordon Cooper
- Apollo 11 crew
Any others? |

The other two were the Gemini 5 and Apollo 8 crews. However, in all six cases, the astronauts spoke to a joint meeting of Congress, not a joint session. |

It is interesting that the Apollo 13 crew and the appropriate ground personnel were not called before a joint meeting. What a celebration of American ingenuity that should have been. |

What's the difference between a joint "meeting" and "session"? |

Check this page from the history section of the US House of Representatives' website if you are interested in the difference between joint sessions and joint meetings. |

Also the Apollo 17 crew as seen in photo 73-H-87 dated January 22, 1973.
