From astronaut Mike Mullane (STS-41D, STS-27, STS-36) on his website: Welcome to the debut of my AstroBlog. I’m not sure how often I will post articles, but, when I do, I’ll be sure to send out a notice to my Facebook followers and LinkedIn connections. Mullane's first blog entry is titled "Risk: Rockets vs. Donuts": At age 32, as I was being announced as a newly selected astronaut, if somebody had whispered to me that I had just entered a profession which had an 8.2 percent chance of killing me, it wouldn’t have bothered me in the least. Seriously, I wouldn’t have given it a second thought. I always assumed the chances of death by shuttle were MUCH higher... |

Mike Mullane is such a good writer! I look forward to reading his blog. By the way, great pic of the TFNGs — I had not seen that before. |

It's been said before, but Mullane's Riding Rockets is among the best candid autobiography out there, at par with Mike Collins Carrying The Fire...So I will be looking up for those blog posts! | |
