Apollo astronaut Rusty Schweickart celebrates his 80th birthday today. Selected as an astronaut in 1963, he flew as Lunar Module Pilot on Apollo 9 in 1969.

In recent years he has served as chairman of the board of the B612 Foundation. Happy birthday Mr. Schweickart with many returns!

Happy Birthday! He may have had one flight, but all the work he did with Skylab, and backing up those crews must have been invaluable.
