Yes, best wishes to a fellow Libra who shares the same birthday. Met him and Scott Carpenter at a signing and he could not have been more gracious.

Happy Birthday to a great pilot and great human being.

Gen. Duke will go down in history not only as a Moonwalker on Apollo 16, but as the CAPCOM for man's first landing on the Moon.

"Roger, Twank... Tranquility, we copy you on the ground. You got a bunch of guys about to turn blue. We're breathing again. Thanks a lot!"

A very 'Happy 79th Birthday' to General Duke. Seeing you at the Rick Wakeman/Brian May concert in Tenerife recently, you could easily pass for someone at least 20 years younger!

Apollo astronaut Charles Duke celebrates his 80th birthday today. Selected as an astronaut in 1966, he flew as Lunar Module Pilot on Apollo 16 in 1972. Happy birthday Gen. Duke with many returns!

I also extend birthday greetings to Charlie Duke, a fine ambassador from Earth to our nearest neighbour in space.

But it is sobering to bear in mind that the eight Apollo Moonwalkers are now all in their eighties.
