If anyone is interested (certainly not the media ... ), Sergei accumulated 2 years (730 days approx) in orbit (over 6 missions) on the 30th July!
On 16 August 2005 at 05:45 GMT/UTC, Sergei will overtake cosmonaut Sergei Avdeev’s longstanding record of 747 days 14 hours 14 min 11 s accumulated flight time!
And on 27 August it's Sergei’s 47th birthday.

Just in case you didn't see, we noted the same milestones (less his birthday) on the front page of the site.

The local media in central Florida also noted his spectacular achievement. He gives the term Ironman new meaning.

It's nice to know that no-one will be able to surpass Sergei's record until humans go beyond Earth orbit. But how about the first year-long ISS increment for the man ? Now that would be historic.
