Ed Gibson and Jerry Carr have rescheduled for next year, it was unavoidable sadly. BUT we do have Jack Lousma in place of Ed and... well, a replacement for Jerry will be announced soon.

We just had a stroke of bad luck with our first choices! Al Worden and Jack have their flights booked though, so no more cancellations!

That's disappointing, but Al and Jack are both great guests. I was really looking forward to having my Bill Pogue signed Skylab litho crew completed!

Charlie Duke would be a great guest (#chancing my arm!)

You will have your chance to meet Ed and Jerry next year! Cosmic Con will be a yearly event, all going well that is.

But the third astronaut, for the time being at least, is being kept under wraps.

Great announcement! I'm sure Kathy will prove to be an excellent guest, I'm really looking forward to hearing her speak about her work on Hubble.

My fingers are still crossed for another Apollo astronaut though!

ANOTHER Announcement: For you meteorite fans, we have Steve Arnold as well as Geoff Notkin from Meteorite Men attending now. We have both of them! #WIN

They will be giving a 45 minute lecture, signing autographs and having a photoshoot.

There are also specific meteorite men tickets now available should that be your focus. Enjoy.

I agree. The organisers deserve support, and I will be there. Flight, hotel and gala dinner booked! (Worth going for Al Worden alone, but the rest of the line-up is very impressive.)

Just a reminder to everyone regarding the Gala Dinner that we need to give the hotel two weeks notice of final numbers for the meal, so ensure you have your gala tickets purchased prior to 23rd May or you will miss out.

There are still VIP tickets remaining. The deadline for these is the 23rd May, same as the Gala Dinner tickets.

Gareth, we opted for tickets being obtained on the day, rather than sending them out in the post.

There will be a table set up a good half an hour before the event starts each day for people to pick the tickets up.

Not officially, but I do know a few people who will be in the bar on the Friday evening - astronauts included. Just a little heads up for you there.

Would just like to say a big thank you to Richard and his team for pulling this event together. For the first day of a new event things looked to be running pretty smoothly and I hope the shows success leads to bigger things in the future.

Just wanted to say a massive thank you to all of my cS friends who attended Cosmic Con, and I hope that you all enjoyed it as much as I did.

You'll be glad to know that there will be future events, albeit somewhat different to this one - I learnt lessons which enable me to make the next event even better - being announced soon.

Again, thank you so much for your support!

I would like to add my thoughts and thanks to Rich:

Thank you Rich for a wonderful day on Saturday. The lectures were great, the astronauts friendly and eager to answer questions and the punters were what I would describe as a mixture of newbies and many of the usual suspects (you know who you are). Broad spectrum indeed!

I will add that meeting Geoffrey Bowman after having listened to his brilliant chapter in 'Footprints In The Dust' was like meeting one of your heroes!

My only regret is that I didn't stay for the evening meal. I definitely will do that next time! An excellent event!!

I'd also like to thank the whole team for a cracking weekend. Staff and guests were all very friendly and I'm extremely glad I made the trip up from Kent.

Al Worden's lecture was a real highlight as was the astronaut panel discussion... Some answers thought provoking, others hilarious. A great time. Thank you all.

I'm still blushing (see above) but I agree that this was a very enjoyable event. It was very encouraging to find every seat occupied at Al Worden's Saturday talk. Are there ways the event could be improved? Yes, of course. Was it a great start? Yes, absolutely. Well done to the organizers.

Thank you very much everyone, it really means a lot. I was asking everyone if they felt it could be improved in any way and nobody had any suggestions!

I would really appreciate it if you guys could let me know if there was something you felt perhaps I dropped the ball on, or just some general suggestions - it will help me greatly for the next event!

The highlight for me was definitely Jack Lousma and how generous he was with his time and knowledge. It was like talking to an old friend!

I'd just like to say a big thank you Richard on an excellent event! Roll on 2016...

Just thought I'd mention, we're designing a Mission Pin and Patch for each Cosmic Con we do. The Cosmic Con I Pin and Patch will be announced in a few days, then you can buy one if you're that way inclined.
