Two excellent announcements and looking forward to meeting both of them again. That's myself and Demi confirmed for September anyway, think it's important to make the effort to head over while these guys are still around. |

It's also worth noting, after the success of the SR-71 Blackbird pilots last time out, that Gerald Glasser and John Manzi are both announced for September. |

Brilliant news. Already have holidays booked from work. I met Dave Scott when we invited him to our observatory in 2005, and Ed Mitchell at a previous Autographica. |

That would be superb if it comes to pass. Heard Dave give a one hour lecture during the Astronaut Scholarship Foundation's show at the Cape. It was a very good presentation on the Apollo program and the Apollo 15 mission. |

Autographica has announced some of the pricing for Ed and Dave (more expensive than their respective last appearances but hey, they aren't getting any younger). - Dave Scott: Autograph £170; Photoshoot £50.
- Ed Mitchell: Autograph £85; Photoshoot £40; Lecture £30.

PLEASE let's have Eric "Winkle" Brown back. As the program the other night showed, he has more stories to tell than most astronauts - even at a sprightly 95 years old. |

I went to see Captain Eric 'Winkle' Brown give a talk at the Sywell Aviation Museum at the beginning of April this year. The man was and still is phenomenal. He spoke for two and a half hours which included questions at the end and a half hour interval during which he was inscribing and signing his autobiography 'Wings On My Sleeve'.All very impressive and what an eventful life he has had. He did not refer to notes and his recall of events is amazing. He could go off on a tangent to explain some detail but every time didn't forget to go back to where he was. It was a superb performance by anyone's standard but when you consider the Captain is ninety five it is incredible. I am sure he has been to Autographica before and would be very popular if he did again, especially after the programme last Sunday on BBC 2 which he narrated himself called 'Britain's Greatest Pilot: The Extraordinary Story Of Captain Winkle Brown' It must give us hope that if he can still give such a wonderful account of himself at this great age perhaps so too can some of our veteran astronauts, health permitting, for a few more years. |

I met Eric Brown several years back when he came to ASTRA. I was amazed to hear that he flew the German Comet rocket plane and that he also is from Dundee! Would love to meet him again. |

Winkle attended a few years ago. I've met him three times (once in the company of Joe Engle who expressed his admiration!) and I'm enthralled every time.He was also involved in the interrogation of Goering, attended the '36 Olympics flew with Udet, first twin engine carrier landing, first jet carrier landing, flown more types than anyone has or is ever likely to... etc, etc. Phenomenal. George Johnson is a great choice too. He has just released a book: The Last British Dambuster. |

This is more excellent news, at long last a chance to meet Skylab astronauts, appropriate as we are going through the 40th anniversary of Skylab. |

Is this the first Autographica to have no moonwalkers? It's still a strong line-up, but having at least one guest moonwalker adds a lot. |

I can't remember which show it was but there was a show where there were no moonwalkers, think Jim McDivitt, Fred Haise, Vance Brand and Gerry Griffin were on the guest list that year. I'm really pleased with this one, some good Apollo 13 capcom connections and any event with Al Worden is always good to go to! |

I have to agree somewhat with BlackArrow, before the Stafford announcement - this was the first Autographica, I was considering not attending for as many years as I can remember. There seems to be certain lack of 'star' guests this time around (*). Maybe there has been too much concentration on Comic Cons. I'm fairly glad they've already announced the future date, as I was partly fearful that attendance could be low and that they revert back to one show a year again. Regarding Tom, I'm surprised that nobody has also mentioned 'the last European signing' and the subsequent inflated price from his previous visit yet. Which is great for people like me who passed last time, a little confusing however for those who did. (* Yes, I know that all NASA program guests are 'stars' [hero's even], but hopefully you understand my point.)

This will probably be our last Autographica as dealers, so there will be some super bargains to be had!Our 'buy two, get the second half price' offer will be in place, but in addition, Linda and I will accept any sensible offer all weekend! No silly little fragments, either: our displays will, as always, feature decent-sized examples of flown material... Anything left over will appear on eBay: the first time we have EVER sold there! |
