Shortly after our Alan Bean book signing, Aug. 1 and 2, we'll have Gene Cernan (info soon) out for a signing. Gen. Tom Stafford, also on Apollo 10, is doing a signing with the Astronaut Scholarship Foundation in early July. We'll have John Young, the third member of Apollo 10, early 2010 and he'll waive the usual 'completion fee', so you may complete rare and valuable Apollo 10 items.

Gen. Stafford was also Cernan's crewmate on Gemini 9. No completion fees on GT9 items either.

Wow, this is really neat. I am looking forward to the Gene Cernan signing especially now that the Gemini completion fee has been waived. Thank you Kim for putting it all together!

Ditto on the congratulations Kim!

One question: Will Cernan sign postal covers at the signing? He has been very reluctant to sign covers in the past.

Novaspace has posted details about the Cernan signing. It's nice to see that Cernan hasn't followed the trend of increasing his prices within the past year...and indeed has dropped any completion and multi-signing fees. The free inscriptions up to 6 words is also a nice touch!

(And good news, Dennis...he is also signing covers this time around!)

Great news!

The simplified pricing structure is:
$100 for Gene's own books
$150 for most other items, except
$175 for covers, beta cloths, baseballs, 3-D items

There are no completion fees or multi-signed item fees. Short inscriptions are free (up to 6 words); $25 for longer ones.

I have several covers and photos signed by Stafford and this will be an opportunity to have them completed.

Many thanks to Capt. Cernan for agreeing to sign covers and for this pricing structure, and to Sally and Kim for setting up this signing on favorable terms for both Capt. Cernan and collectors. It's a win-win situation.

For the sake of interest could anyone clarify what a "Photo COA with CD of Capt. Cernan signing your item" is? I assume the Photo COA is some form of Novaspace branded certificate with a photo of the item being signed but just wondered what the CD consisted of?

The CD consists of several shots of Capt. Cernan as he looks at, signs, and then holds up your completed item to the camera. They usually also include photos of his visit and some of the other artifacts that were sent for him to sign.

I seem to recall some hints that Dr. Schmitt was coming this year but haven't seen anything official yet. Looking forward to that one too.

I just got my signed photo today (which is ridiculously fast), and it's great. The inscription, placement etc were just as I asked (not that I expected anything else). I've heard you folks talk about the "bullet-proof" packaging, but I was amazed at the level of care and detail that went into to packing of the item. I'd like thank Kim and all the folks at Novaspace for a great job (and Capt Cernan for coming out to do it).

It's the fist time I've participated in a Novaspace signing and I couldn't be more pleased.

It has been my second time participating in a Novaspace signing and I cannot stress how amazing they are. I received my item today and it WAY better than I thought it would be. Their customer service is also top notch. I also found the pricing very affordable and appreciated the dropping of a lot of the fees.

Thank you Kim and Gene Cernan for another great opportunity!

I received my items from the Cernan signing today. I took advantage of the lack of crew completion fees to get Cernan's autograph on some GT-9 and Apollo 10 photos and covers already signed by Tom Stafford.

The photos and covers were nicely signed by Cernan along with the mission number. The Novaspace crew has made a science of packing space collectibles so everything arrived in great shape.

Thanks to Capt. Cernan, Kim, Sally and the Novaspace staff.

I received my signed photo today, and I am very happy with this Apollo 17 crew completion:

THANK YOU to Gene Cernan and to Novaspace.

My item arrived here in Ireland this morning...

It's my first time dealing with Novaspace and I have to say they were amazing.

The placement and autograph look wonderful and the packaging was, as has been said thousands of times before "bulletproof."

Thanks a lot to all at Novaspace and to Captain Cernan too!

Regards, Shane
