What is Tom Stafford's fee for signing a "multi-signed" picture or book which has already been signed by Gene Cernan, but is definitely not mission-specific to Gemini 9? |

The good news for everyone is that since my Mercury group shot that I sent to John Glenn to be signed turned up this morning Autographica can go ahead as scheduled. If it hadn't arrived before the show I would have required Dave to postpone it! |

You're all welcome, I guess people like me are just born to give to others! That said of course if anyone want's to show their gratitude by paying for a Tom Stafford for me I will reluctantly accept! |

I am learning fast that you are all heart and obviously selflessly think of others... I am honoured to have replied to you here and once again THANK YOU. In fact I would go as far as to say that Tom Stafford (once made aware of who he is signing for) will gladly wave his fee and I wouldn't be at all suprised if he pays you! |

I myself am going to get Dave Scott to sign a photo of him on the moon - however I just wanted to ask your opinion on this other matter that is troubling me.I have an Apollo 9 cover already signed by both McDivitt and Schweickart (I paid $60 for it), but do you guys think it would be worth the extra $160 to get Scott to complete it which would make $220 I'd have payed for it? |

The one thing that might be worth considering (I don't know the answer on this by the way) is how Dave Scott is with signing covers. I have a feeling I've heard people in the past saying he isn't so keen on signing covers after the 'goings on' after Apollo 15. I could be way off on that though, I'm sure someone more knowledgeable can say one way or the other. Are you looking to get both items signed or are you going to have to choose between the two. If you are going to have to choose it's tough to give advice because it will have to come down to what is going to personally give you more pleasure in the long term. All I would say is you've been saying for a while now how much you wanted him to sign that picture of him on the lunar surface so it would be a shame not to get it. If you can afford both, and there's no problem with him signing covers then I'd say take the oppourtunity to get both things signed while he's here, you never know if he'll be back again. |

Thanks a lot for your words of wisdom, Paul!Oh, don't worry, the photo of him on the moon I have been talking about is DEFINITELY getting signed,no doubt whatsoever about that. I was just considering selling a thing or two to raise what I need for another Scott signature, but I wasn't sure if an Apollo 9 crew-signed cover is worth what I'd be paying for it. I think what I'm going to have to do is see if I can raise the extra £95 before the event - if I can all well and good, but if not it'll just be the moonshot photo this time I think! By the way, is anyone else planning to get more than one item signed by Scott? |

I'll only be getting one item signed but this will be the third thing in total that I've got him to sign. |

For what it's worth - I would definitely get the Apollo 9 completed. Even if it does cost you over the odds which, incidentally I don't think it would be. The thing to factor in is this, You will have a memory of a personal meeting and witnessing Dave Scott complete it! These types of items will definitely increase in value over the years to come regardless what you paid today. So, unless you will be think of parting with it over the next say, 5 years then it's a win win. I always tell myself this kind of thing when considering purchases... but the thing I always forget is - Will I ever actually part with these things - ANSWER "NO!" but it makes me feel better about spending. Go for it - you know it makes sense. Can't say for sure about Dave Scott's feelings on covers - again I think it is okay and he will sign it, but it would be great to have that confirmed. |

Just booked my Dave Scott photoshoot also... I hate to complain but this Autographica really is becoming dearer and dearer isn't it? (£50 for two photoshoots not to mention the signing fees.) Oh well... |

I think you have been a bit unlucky with this one. Dave Phillips had mentioned that he was trying to get Dave Scott to do a photoshoot this time round. I guess the 'price' he had to pay for that was Dave Scott not doing over the table pictures. All that said though, I don't think you'll be disapointed with the picture when it comes out. They are good quality images and at least you know for sure you'll be getting a nicely posed picture rather than an over the table one which can come out a bit awkward looking sometimes. |

Agreed... I was actually a little disappointed when Dave said on the Showmasters forum that he was planning to get Dave Scott to do the photoshoot as I was already running short of money for the show - however, I have to agree with you, the photoshoot image will be a lot nicer and I'm sure I'll be glad I paid for it afterwards! |

As far as I'm concerned, anytime Man U get beaten is a day to remember, specially if lowly Burnley or their ilk do it. |

I would have to strongly disagree... since I am Man United born and bred. I enjoyed watching Liverpool crumble last night though! Note how this has suddenly turned into a footie forum... |

Now now boys lets calm down, think of the topic in hand - who's buying the beer at Autographica? ...and how many pints I can have for one Tom Stafford autograph! |

Don't worry I was only joshing, it's very good for morale!Normally I'd say you could get a good few pints for a Tom Stafford but going by last years prices at the bar I reckon you'd be lucky to get a half of mild! |

The Metropole is cheap compared to the bar in the Peninsula Hotel in Hong Kong where I was 3 weeks ago. A cocktail at £14! and a bottle of beer not much cheaper! Good job that was on expenses! |

Well Andy, if you will stay at the posh places... do they still drive you in from the airport in the Green Rolls Royces? |

Yes, if you want them to. Hey have new fleet Rolls Royce Phantoms in Green, by all accounts the largest ever order for RR ever placed! It's a swanky place, but I've also stayed at the Renaissance Harbour View on Hong Kong Island which has awesome views of Kowloon, the room we had had glass windows 8 feet tall, great at night when Kowloon is lit up, and I've stayed at the City View too which is more downmarket but still comfy and a great bar!. It was nice to go to the Hong Kong Space museum again, wonderful place! And I managed to buy a 204 page book there called "Space Journey" a photo book about about the Shenzhou 7 mission. Wow, from footy to China - it's amazing the scope that Autographica allows. |

I certainly wish I could stay at the Peninsula on expenses. However, I fear that I would end up bankrupting my company at those prices! |

Quite right too, can't think who even started this football nonsense in the first place! So for a change of subject and getting back to the plot, is anyone planning on getting anything signed by any of the other guests? I'm jiggling my finances a bit this time so I can get some stuff signed by some of the pilots. |
