Thanks for the invite!

It's not like I'm a shy, retiring wall-flower, and I do tend to have a large trade stand, so it should be easy for you guys to wander over and say hi! LOL!

David,
Count me in on Friday evening, in fact any convenient time over the weekend. (Hic)

One of these days I'm gonna stay for the weekend at one of the UK shows, I'm missing out on so many drinks driving down on the day each time!

To be honest, Linda & I made the mistake of not staying at the first Radisson: we stayed up the road at the Holiday Inn. But it is soooooooooo much better staying on-site: and our room at the Metropole in March really was worth the money: as was breakfast at the table next to Alexei Leonov!

Like many of the other dealers, Linda & I work 51 weekends a year, so we've come to regard the Autographicas almost like our biennial holidays!

They've just posted the show prices (as opposed to the pre-orders that have been around for a while) for Autographica:
  • Dave Scott - £95
  • Jim Lovell - £90
  • Vance Brand - £40
  • Jerry Carr - £30
  • Gary Lockwood - £20
  • Keir Dullea - £20
I've only posted the space and related guests as I figured they would be the ones mostly of interest. The Lovell fee is apparently a base fee for 10x8s, Dave has said he will post a more comprehensive Lovell price list when he has it.

For those that are interested in such things, Dave has just announced on the Showmasters forum that Jim Lovell is doing a photoshoot on the Saturday only. Doesn't look to be on the website yet but you can order over the phone.

I see the ASF have a link on the A12 website!

Will they be attending? And, if they're not conducting an auction, what will they be doing to raise funds?

I suspect at least one, if not more, of the astronauts will probably be donating a portion of their signing fees to the ASF.

No doubt! But you miss my point! There's a link on the Autographica page, but no mention of Autographica on the ASF site.
  1. Will there be an ASF stand? If so, who'll be manning it?
  2. No auction: but will there be items for sale?

It appears there will be an auction at Autographica 12. The following is a quote from a recent ASF email dated 14th October:
For our friends over in England, the Astronaut Scholarship Foundation will once again host an exhibitor booth and small auction of astronaut memorabilia at Autographica 12 at the Radisson Edwardian Hotel in Heathrow, England. We look forward to seeing you at the show!

Hmmm. I think anyone who has been in recent years will realise that "manning" is a singularly inappropriate word.

LOL! Good point! Or several, in fact!

Just a shameless plug: 'The Space Station' will have its biggest ever display at A12 this year, including 100+ signed books, flown space hardware from Mercury to Shuttle, Apollo acrylics, and (probably unique in the UK!) a range of GENUINE lunar & martian meteorite samples from £25, as well as plenty of iconic aviation material, from Amelia Earhart to Spitfire, Stuka and Vulcan!

I believe he's just got to do a final coat of paint and check the oil, then he'll put in his bill! LOL!
