Luckily, I don't see any real reason why it shouldn't be. The official publisher release date for the book, according to the UNP web site, is 1 November 2008, only a few days after the show. These release dates, however, are generally set as conservative estimates of when all the major stockists will have enough copies. In the case of our books in the same series, this meant that copies were actually available for sale about two months before the official date. I agree, it would be a great item to get signed. |

Sorry if this question has been asked before, I would like to know how much the lectures typically cost. I am based in UK, but have not been to Autographica before.Regards, Paul

Impossible to be certain, but typically the lectures are £10 each.I would imagine Carr and Mitchell will both charge around £40 for an autograph: excellent value, IMHO! |

Francis,Thanks for the information. That sounds very encouraging for 'Homesteading Space' perhaps being available by the Autographica dates. Andy |

I'm fairly sure Dave Shayler told me (at the last Autographica) that his biography of Jerry Carr would be available for signing by Jerry Carr at the next (i.e the forthcoming) Autographica. |

I briefly saw Brand at Burbank in 2005, but he wasn't in a "work" type situation so didn't want to disturb him. It'll be nice to finally meet him properly and get an in person autograph.Adam |

When I saw Vance Brand in 1975, I had no chance to speak to him because he was in a "work-type situation": disappearing rapidly into the sky above Florida! It will be good to meet him at long last! |

Now THAT'S funny! And isn't 'Vance Brand' the perfect Astronaut name? Even better than 'Buzz Lightyear'? |

I was there too Adam, and heard the rumours of Brand being in attendance, but didn't spot him. Pity all 4 ASTP astros didn't gather together publicly.Paul |

Here are two potential guests who might be difficult to bring to Autographica in October, but NOT impossible, given past surprises: my first choice would be Frank Borman. My second choice would be Tom Stafford. It would be a real privilege to meet either (or both) of these legends. I know, I know...it's probably unrealistic. But who would have believed they would get Jim Lovell; Fred Haise; and Jim McDivitt? (Jim McDivitt? That didn't really happen, did it?) |

Just noticed on the pre ordered photos section of the Autographica website some prices have been put up:Edgar Mitchell Autograph - £40 Vance Brand Autograph - £30 Jerry Carr Autograph - £20 George Johnson Autograph - £20 I don't know if these are the prices they will charge at the show, £40 would seem about right for Edgar Mitchell but I'm sure George Johnson was only £10 last time round (not that you'd begrudge paying it, £20 is probably a more realistic fee) Also looks like photoshoots with all of the above have been added at £20 each.

According to the resources section of collectSPACE; Gerry Carr charges $20 per autograph TTM which would work out at £10 per item... which would be too cheap for Autographica so I agree, the advertised rate of £20 is excellent value.

I have it on good authority that Dave Scott will serve the food and Manuel will give a talk on the Moon, so at least we'll dine well. |

I don't beeleeeve it!However my comment referred to the annual Armstrong rumour, supplemented by the occasional Glenn rumour. I still don't see the need for wild speculation when we know the show organisers are doing their best to satisfy. Well done Guys. Paul |
