Sally Ride became the first American woman in space in 1983 when she made a six-day flight aboard the space shuttle Challenger. She made her second flight into space in 1984. Sally Ride will also be signing copies of two other space books:
Voyager: An Adventure to the Edge of the Solar System and The Third Planet: Exploring the Earth from Space

Brief personalizations on books will be possible. There is no limit to the number of books people can purchase for signing (store supplies permitting), however the signing is limited to the three books for sale, and only books sold on the day.
