Just a quick note to let everyone know that the 30th Lunar Legacies Space Memorabilia Auction is tentatively scheduled for Saturday, Sept. 14, 2019 and many of the auction lots (for preview purposes only) are now beginning to appear on the Lunar Legacies website.

If anyone would like to consign to this auction, the deadline will be approximately Sept. 1, 2019.

From Lunar Legacies:
The uploading of the Lunar Legacies 30 auction to Invaluable and Auction Zip has been completed, and it is ready for viewing and pre-bidding for the live auction on Saturday, September 14, 2019 at 9AM Pacific Time.

As usual, lots of descriptions to do, but all should be completed by this weekend, but the photos and bidding numbers are correct and you may pre-bid now if you so choose once you are registered. Also, a few photos are left to be done (the packages have not yet arrived from consignors).

Would appreciate hearing what members of this forum think about the Apollo 10 crew-signed cover, Lot 225, in this auction.

This is a heads-up about an item that I have in tomorrow's Lunar Legacies Space Memorabilia Auction #30 at Invaluable Galleries (live online Saturday 9/14). You can take a look at the auction here and bidders need to register before the auction starts.

My item (#172A) is an original flight suit worn by Bruce Willis in the 1998 movie Armageddon. It's a standard NASA flight suit (still in use today) made from fire resistant and anti-static DuPont Nomex IIIA, with Velcro adjustments at waist, wrists and ankles (42 Tall); like-new condition. There are numerous zippered pockets with Velcro-closure pencil pockets on the left arm. Original movie patches include Space Center Roughnecks, Freedom STS-98 For All Mankind, and a nametag for Willis' Harry Stamper character. The Harry patch is on Velcro and can be removed for replacing with your personal nametag. The NASA meatball and American flag patches were reportedly supplied to the film by NASA (and they match official NASA patches I have seen on my job at NASA JSC). I obtained this flightsuit from the Profiles in History Hollywood auction back in 2003, and the auction and film costume supplier tags are still attached.

As a special "thank you" to any collectSPACE member who wins this auction, I'll throw in a very nicely made Armageddon production promo cap (fully embroidered, 100% wool with adjustable rear metal buckle). If you read this and win the flightsuit, just drop me an e-mail after the auction and I'll send you the cap (free postage, too). Thanks for taking a look and fly safe!

All times are CT (US)
