The Goldberg Space Memorabilia auction is scheduled for Sunday, Dec. 9, 2018 at 10 a.m. Pacific time.Every space sale is unique and this one has some outstanding and historic items. One rare item is a prototype Mission Control patch. We have never seen one of these previously and only a few are thought to exist.
While it is not possible to own a moon rock collected on one of the Apollo missions it is possible to own a piece of the moon from a lunar meteorite. This sale offers a nice specimen in a display with a piece of Apollo 11 Kapton foil.
There are several nice Neil Armstrong autographs including a crew signed Type 1 Insurance cover.
A rare find is the AST A7LB spacesuit "layup." A very nice display created to show the astronauts and NASA managers exactly how the space suit materials were overlaid.
A Lands' End Rugby shirt flown and worn on STS-55 by Jerry Ross, one of the NASA Frequent Flyers is offered. Flight Directors' binders covering Skylab are included. Skylab flown spoon and fork used by Pilot Paul Weitz on the mission and of course, many more.
