I'd love a second opinion on Lot 867, the 1969 Apollo 11 Neil Armstrong Signed Launch Color Print. Thanks. |

Much to their credit, they pulled it. Not on my say so, but a quote from a most respected cS member. |

Just for clarification, Lot #855 is not a "flown" film strip (2) from Apollo 10.The documentation sheet for the attached NASA film pieces does indicate "not flown." The autograph of Gen. Tom Stafford (USAF-Ret.) is indeed genuine, though. |

What's happening with this auction? For the past hour, two items before the space section started it prompts: "The item being auctioned isn’t available on eBay."Are the space items on this auction not being offered on eBay (even though it was listed as such)? |

This was my first time to bid at a Goldberg auction. I set up on eBay and noticed the auction started and stopped for no real apparent reasons. Long periods of nothing. I opened another tab and out of curiosity went to the Goldberg site directly and was able to listen and view the live stream there. Many items were not available on eBay and were only available on other sites like Invaluable or to the floor only. You could hear the auctioneer say this item only available on Invaluable and when that happened the eBay site was blank.Next time I will register with Goldberg directly and not use eBay. The buyers premium is 5% less if you use the Goldberg site directly. It's better there as you can tell what is going on. Some very steep prices on the Skylab and Apollo 16 ablative plugs I was interested in: $2500 and $2800. Too much for me. I purchased the version 2 Apollo 11 Mylar lucite for $290 plus 25% buyers premium. Live and learn. |

Good to see the escalated prices on the ablator lucites — hopefully will compel the new owner(s) to preserve rather then cracking them open. |

Interesting. I was bidding above $300 on the version 2 Apollo 11 Mylar you won but my bid didn't register. Next time I'll go through their site like you suggested. |

Things moved pretty quickly there. I heard several bids come in after the hammer on several items. Last chances came up twice often only 2-3 seconds apart. There was an internet lag and I suspect that's all it took for your bid not to get in before they dropped the hammer. I feel kind of bad for you, but I guess I just got lucky with my bid being accepted. It's nice to know someone else was willing to pay more than I did. I wasn't too sure if I over paid for the item or not. Perhaps they should review how they do things if they left money on the table with your outstanding bids not being registered. I would be upset if that was my consignment item. |

I was following the auction via the Invaluable app as I was out of the house yesterday. That was my mistake. I bid on the Gemini 4 flown mustard seed ($130), and I saw it say Fair Warning twice, and then it told me I won! The app even has confetti fall when you win. I was elated! The app then went to the next item. I walked over and told my buddy I won, and when I showed him the item, it said I was outbid and did not win ($160).Next time I'll know to forego leaving the house and follow via Goldberg's site! |

This is ridiculous. So let me get this straight, Goldberg offered two places to place live bids online and one had a distinct advantage? This is in addition to a price/cost advantage as well. |

I wonder if this is violation of their terms of service. It is my understanding they are able to sell on a live auction floor simultaneously, as well as collect electronic bids prior to the live auction. Do the terms of service allow them to use multiple live online bidding systems? |

There were several instances where the Auctioneer accepted bids after the hammer and they explained technical glitches. On the flip side I heard him say to floor bidders sorry you missed the item as it is closed to an internet bidder. He cautioned folks not to dilly daddle and get your bids in.I agree the direct site was much better. You can see and hear the Auctioneer and understand why things happened as they did. |
