The new scan are all side-inversed, see the flag on the shoulder. That should read SSSR in Cyrillic (CCCP).

The old scan is correct.

You can correct it if you want, just flip it around. The old scan has its problems: Lots of compression and glare. Slight overexposure.

Any effort to bring forth the older Soviet mission photographs in quality is borderline heroic! The situation for photos on certain missions is dire and kind of sad. Some cosmonauts have died with slightly better than grainy thumbnail-sized photos left behind to remember their missions. Take for instance, inflight photos on Soyuz-6, 7, and 8 (the 'troika' mission).

An interesting photo with some great detail thanks. I would have thought that the crew would have taken their shoes off during training while inside.

This must be the only photo of a cosmonaut wearing heels.
