Do you know if observing Soyuz re-entry is possible? It is tiny compared to shuttle and probably won't leave visible trail? I will be 600 km NW from landing area during the re-entry.

The visible trail isn't the problem, you need to know the right direction to look. Not sure if that's published. You can derive good approximations from NORAD 2LEs.
