I was wondering how the crews of shuttle missions STS-74 and STS-88 controlled the APAS (Androgynous Peripheral Attachment System) units of Pressurized Mating Adapter-1 (PMA-1) for STS-88 and the Shuttle/Mir docking module.

Both featured active APAS units that needed to have their docking rings extended and retracted as necessary. The shuttle Orbiter Docking System (ODS) APAS was controlled from the A7L APDS control panel. How were things configured for the crews to operate the second active APAS unit?

Any photos or schematics of the mission-dependent control panels available?

All times are CT (US)
