From Space.com/AP:
quote:Top NASA officials called a meeting Thursday to discuss the latest launch-debris analyses and the chances of holding to a May liftoff for the first space shuttle flight since the Columbia disaster.
Launch preparations for Discovery were put on hold for at least a day because of the deliberations.
...
Senior NASA officials were scheduled to convene late in the afternoon, following a series of meetings earlier in the day by lower-ranking shuttle managers and engineers.
The rumor (and so take it for what its worth) is there will be an announcement at end of day today, possibly moving the launch to the July window. If so, the stack may be moved back to the VAB.

According to ABC News tonight, the launch of Discovery will be delayed while NASA investigates ice forming on the top of the external tank. It was said that the shuttle may be rolled back into the VAB and that the external tank will be replaced. []

If Discovery goes in July, will Thomas Reiter's stay on ISS be delayed until Soyuz TMA-7 flies in September?

I think he will still go when STS-121 flys. They will want to be sure the shuttle is flying before they add the 3rd member back to the ISS crews.
