Deke Slayton didn't retire from NASA until 1982 and was photographed in a shuttle flight suit. Does anyone know if he was ever considered for a Shuttle Mission? |

P.321 of Slayton's autobiography:"I had also held out the slim hope that I might get a Shuttle flight of my own, but when I dropped a few hints about that around 1980, it was clear no one was interested." FF |
